this is my totally awesome personal website
and these are my cats!
yes, the irony of having a website called puppyfun and having 6 cats isn't lost on me
about me
i'm a very opinionated tech nerd who is extremely passionate
about security, privacy, and digital freedom.
as someone who occasionally exists online, i am confronted
by a lot of misinformation on topics that i know a lot about,
and this has frustrated me for a long time. but the options
to combat this under random social media posts are limited,
so i plan to use this space as a resource to point people
towards.

> A security-focused desktop and server Linux operating system
secureblue is my go-to recommendation for anyone looking to
switch to linux. it patches common, critical security pitfalls
that are unaddressed on most linux distributions without
sacrificing usability and convenience. while no linux distro
will match the security that windows or mac systems can
provide, it's self-described as a project for people whose
first priority is linux, and security second.

> A security-focused, Chromium-based browser for desktop Linux inspired by Vanadium
trivalent is defensibly the most secure browser on linux,
which makes it critical for secure desktop computing, as the
browser is a very large surface of attack, with many exploit
chains beginning from the browser. its biggest drawback is
that its only properly supported on fedora-based distros.

> Open source and cross-platform file sharing for everyone
localsend shares files over the local network quickly and
securely which avoids placing trust on third-party cloud
services.
